You want the beach. They want the city. You’ve been going back and forth for 3 weeks — and the real answer is a coastal city where the beach is 15 minutes from the restaurant district.

Enter both preferences — AI finds 3 destinations that genuinely work for both of you, with compatibility scores and a clear ‘why YOU will love it’ for each person. Not a compromise where nobody’s happy. A match where both people are excited.

The Problem

You’ve been ‘trying to plan a trip together’ for weeks — and you’re further from a decision than when you started because every suggestion works for one person and not the other.

😰

You said ‘beach’ and they said ‘no beaches’ — so you suggested a mountain town and they said ‘too quiet’ — and now you’re both silently Googling destinations alone and getting frustrated

Couples trip planning often devolves into a negotiation where each person vetoes the other’s suggestion. Beach? No. Mountains? Too boring. City? Too hectic. The cycle continues because you’re thinking in categories instead of features. The person who said ‘no beaches’ might actually love a coastal town with great restaurants — it’s not the water they object to, it’s the idea of doing nothing. The matchmaker identifies what each person actually wants (the features) rather than what they think they want (the category).

💸

You finally compromised on a destination that was ‘fine for both’ — and spent $3,000 on a trip neither of you truly loved because the compromise meant neither person got their ideal experience

Compromise in travel planning produces mediocre trips. ‘Fine for both’ means exciting for neither. The person who wanted adventure spends the trip at a resort. The person who wanted relaxation gets dragged on a hike. Both are being polite. Both wish they’d gone somewhere else. The fix isn’t better compromise — it’s better matching. Destinations with range — where adventure AND relaxation coexist within the same place — satisfy both people fully instead of partially.

😵

One person always ‘wins’ the destination debate and the other quietly goes along — building resentment that surfaces as passive-aggression on Day 3 of yet another trip they didn’t choose

In many couples, one person has stronger preferences or argues more persuasively, and the other person defaults to agreement to avoid conflict. The trip gets booked. The ‘agreeable’ partner goes along. By Day 3, the suppressed frustration manifests: ‘I don’t care where we eat’ (they do care), ‘this is fine’ (it’s not fine). The matchmaker gives both people equal voice — each person’s preferences are entered separately and weighted equally in the algorithm. The result isn’t who argued best. It’s where both preferences genuinely overlap.

🤷

You scrolled through 47 ‘best couples vacation’ articles and none of them know that Person A hates heat and Person B can’t sit still — so every generic suggestion fails for at least one of you

Travel recommendation articles are written for an imaginary ‘average couple’ that doesn’t exist. They suggest Paris for romance without knowing one of you finds museums boring. They suggest Bali for relaxation without knowing one of you needs cultural stimulation to enjoy a trip. Generic lists can’t account for the specific combination of YOUR preferences and THEIR preferences. The matchmaker takes both sets of input and finds the overlap — not ‘good for couples in general’ but ‘good for THIS couple specifically.’

What You Get

Questions

Everything you need to know.

What if our preferences are completely opposite?

That’s exactly what this tool is built for. Completely opposite preferences (beach vs. city, adventure vs. relaxation) are more matchable than you’d think — because most great destinations have range. Cape Town has Table Mountain hiking AND beach clubs. Lisbon has ancient culture AND surf beaches 30 minutes away. The Conflict Resolver tool also offers creative alternatives: split trips (3 days one style, 3 days the other), alternating trips (you pick this one, they pick next), or wild-card destinations so unexpected that neither person’s default preference applies.

How accurate are the compatibility scores?

The scores reflect how well each destination matches the specific preferences and dealbreakers you entered. A 90% means the destination hits nearly all of that person’s stated wants and avoids their stated don’t-wants. An 80% means it hits most but misses one preference. The scores are relative — they help you compare destinations against each other, not guarantee a perfect experience. The ‘why it works for you’ explanations are more important than the number itself.

What’s a split-day itinerary?

A split-day plan acknowledges that couples don’t need to do everything together to have a great trip. Example: Person A wakes early for a solo morning hike while Person B sleeps in and has a leisurely breakfast. They meet at noon for a joint food tour. Afternoon: both relax at the pool. Evening: Person B checks out the nightlife district while Person A reads at a rooftop bar. The split-day model reduces friction because neither person is dragging the other to activities they don’t enjoy.

Can we use this for a group trip?

The core matching works for any pair of preference sets, so you can run it for any two people in a group. For larger groups (4–6 people), run the match for the two people with the MOST different preferences — if the destination works for the extremes, it’ll work for everyone in between. The toolkit is optimized for couples but the preference-matching logic applies to any travel planning where multiple people need to agree.

What if one person doesn’t care and says ‘anywhere is fine’?

‘Anywhere is fine’ usually means ‘I have preferences but don’t want to argue about them.’ The toolkit helps by asking specific questions — not ‘where do you want to go?’ (which produces ‘anywhere’) but ‘do you want to be active or relaxed?’ and ‘what’s your dealbreaker?’ These specific prompts draw out real preferences from the person who thinks they don’t have any. The result: they see a destination matched to preferences they didn’t know they had, and suddenly ‘anywhere’ becomes ‘actually, that sounds perfect.’

❤️

Stop compromising. Start matching. Both people excited. One destination.

3 destinations matched to both of you. Compatibility scores. Split-day itinerary. The trip where nobody settled — because the destination works for both.
