What age is this for?

Ages 3–12, with exercises adapted for each developmental stage. Ages 3–5: fully play-based β€” animal breathing, movement games, very short (1–2 minutes). Ages 6–8: game-based with slightly more structure β€” observation challenges, guided body scans as stories. Ages 9–12: transitioning to real mindfulness language β€” journaling prompts, longer body scans, breathing with counting. The toolkit asks your child’s age and only gives exercises appropriate for their developmental stage.

My child won’t sit still. Will this work?

This is DESIGNED for kids who won’t sit still β€” because most kids can’t and shouldn’t be expected to. Half the exercises involve movement: walking like different animals (mindful movement), squeezing and releasing fists (body tension awareness), or doing ‘breathing squats’ (inhale up, exhale down). Sitting still with eyes closed is the LAST stage, not the first. Start with 60-second moving exercises and work up.

Should I use these DURING a meltdown?

No β€” and this is the most important rule. During a meltdown, the rational brain is offline. Introducing a new technique during emotional flooding won’t work. Instead: practice exercises daily when your child is calm and happy. Build muscle memory over 1–2 weeks. THEN, during a meltdown, you can say ‘remember dragon breath?’ and their body knows what to do because it’s been practiced. The tool works during meltdowns ONLY if it was learned before them.

Do I need to do the exercises with them?

Yes β€” especially at the beginning. Children learn by watching. If you do the breathing exercise alongside them, two things happen: they take it seriously (because you’re doing it too), and they see what it looks like to use a calming technique as an adult. You don’t need to be a mindfulness expert. Just breathe when they breathe. The parent guide explains exactly how to lead each exercise.

How long until I see a difference?

Most parents notice a shift within 2–3 weeks of daily practice. The first sign: your child uses the technique WITHOUT being prompted. Instead of you saying ‘try your dragon breath,’ they do it on their own during frustration. By Week 4, the techniques start appearing during real emotional moments. Full integration into their self-regulation takes 2–3 months, but the early wins come fast β€” especially with bedtime routines, which often improve within the first week.

Refunds & Returns

Order cancellation

All orders can be cancelled until they are shipped. If your order has been paid and you need to make a change or cancel an order, you must contact us withinΒ 12 hours. Once the packaging and shipping process has started, it can no longer be cancelled.
